Description
Sly Lives! (aka The Burden of Black Genius) is the companion album to the documentary on the life and career of Sly Stone directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ahmir 'Questlove' Thompson.
The soundtrack features not only the band's signature hits but also rare and previously unreleased alternate versions, along with three new edits by Questlove and Brooklyn-based DJ, remixer, and hip-hop producer J.Period.
