Dub-Stuy’s riddim series is a nod to tradition with a modern twist, with the label teaming up a producer with different vocalists to voice a single riddim. For this 7th entry in the series DJ Madd returns on beatmaking duties with an original production driven by syncopated rhythms and a rolling bassline. This riddim is the backdrop for three standout cuts from an international cast of vocalists: The late Nazamba offers 'Thief,' a powerful social commentary in the tradition of dub poets like Linton Kwesi Johnson; UK-based Ras Demo showcases his versatility with 'Lyrical Designer;' while Spanish vocalist Lasai unleashes rub-a-dub energy on 'The Punchliner.'
