Limited edition forth pressing of the album "Dubs From The Neighbourhood", this time in full colour sleeve designed by Asher McShane.
In the upper echelons of Aotearoa's very finest producers no matter what the genre (and his magic touch encompasses many), Christoph El Truento unearthed absolute gold over King's birthday weekend, given sonic shape as his new album Dubs From The Neighbourhood. 2024 finalist for Te Taumata o te Kaiwhakaputa / Best Producer for his work on Avantdale Bowling Club's new album TREES (which scooped up Te Waiata Tōtahi o te Tau / Single Of The Year), El Truento returns to the deep-fried, echoed-out territory of 2019's peace maker dub, concocting eleven timeless scorchers in what must be Tāmaki Makaurau's own equivalent to Lee Perry's mythic Black Ark Studios. The legion of contributors is immaculate too — featuring Mara TK, The Hongi Slicker, Waiata and Rākai James on vocals, with instrumentation by Julien Dyne (drums and additional percussion), Cory Champion, Jeremy Toy, JY Lee, Isaac Aesili, Lewis McCallum, and even more.
