In celebration of the 30th Anniversary (To the day) of its initial release, on December 4th 2020, Tommy Boy is re-releasing Brand Nubian’s debut album “One for All.” The album did extremely well for a debut release, and even charted #130 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and #24 on Billboard’s US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
Eight years after its release, "One for All" made The Source’s list of 100 Best Rap Albums. It was also named an "Essential Recordings of the 90's" by Rolling Stone. Additionally, the songs “Brand Nubian” and “One for All” from the album made it onto the soundtracks of "Grand Theft Auto IV" and "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.”
The fact that they touched on important social issues and politics through their music certainly contributed to its success, and we are excited to celebrate the re-release of this critically acclaimed album with Brand Nubian’s fans.
