Top hits plus some rare cuts! - Henry "Junjo" Lawes Volcano label (and sound system) dominated the sound of Reggae and Early Dancehall from 1980 to 1985 and influenced contemporary music around the world. This is tribute to the man and to the music - where the basic one-drop beat changed to a more basic beat with a snare hit at the two instead of a foot bass - covering the key artists, big hits and rarities that created the legend, all in all 28 tracks. Side one and two present the singers and side three and four present the deejays, with all tracks backed by the musicians of the Roots Radics and the High Times Band, recorded and mixed at Channel One Recording Studio, Harry J's Recording Studio, Joe Gibbs Studio and King Tubby's Studio. Compiled in 2010 by Fidel "Twice" Luna and Joel Chin, this great 2LP-Vinyl set is available again!
