NZ$50.00

Tago Mago is the third album by the German krautrock band Can, originally released as a double LP in 1971. It was the band's second studio album and the first to feature Damo Suzuki after the 1970 departure from previous vocalist Malcolm Mooney. Recorded in a rented castle near Cologne, the album features long-form experimental tracks, blending funk rhythms, avant-garde noise, jazz improvisation, and electronic tape editing techniques.

For a long time the Can LPs have only been circulating as bootlegs, now the official vinyl reissues are finally available via Spoon Records! The band's double album (Gatefold), recorded in just three months, was released in 1971 and was created at Nörvenich Castle. It belongs to the world cultural heritage of recent music history, such as "Sergeant Pepper" by the Beatles, "Electric Ladyland" by Hendrix or the banana album debut by Velvet Underground. The seven titles gathered here determine the DNA of popular music to this day. "Tago Mago" occupies a special position in the work of the band Can.
